Taking Back Control

Does your dog pull on the lead, have selective hearing, not return when called or jump all over visitors in your home? Then this workshop is definitely for you! The team is headed by Derek Williams ex police dog instructor and behaviourist with over 30 years experience. Derek believes that we are all capable of having a happy, socially acceptable pet. He regularly runs training classes and seminars demonstrating his proven techniques to pet dog owners and professionals in the field of canine training and behaviour.

This course will enable you to take back control of your larger than life boisterous pet. Your dog will learn focus, self control, obedience and general manners.

Course objectives:

  • Teaching a strong effective foundation
  • Establish respect naturally
  • Teach self control
  • Develop attention span
  • Establish a positive relationship between
  • owner and dog
  • Teach him to be calm and relaxed

Course content:

  • Slack lead walking wherever you go
  • Recall from distraction
  • Greeting behaviour

On completion of the course you will have gained the ability to use various methods in order to improve your dogs day to day behaviour and at the same time strengthened your bond with them.

Places are limited to enable our team to dedicate time dealing with individual dogs and owners ensuring maximum success. Courses are run with no more than 10 dogs and handlers present. Therefore please book early to avoid disappointment. Details of suitable dog friendly accommodation can be provided on request.
